Jack & Sophinna's Bibury Court Wedding

5 August 2016 // Kayleigh Adams Photography

Jack and Sophinna's wedding was one that I had been looking forward to for a very long time . . . Bibury Court is an absolutely stunning venue, set right in the heart of The Cotswolds. I also knew that this wedding was going to be a little different to other weddings I have photographed, especially with it being split across two days . . .

The first day of celebrations was on a beautifully sunny Friday afternoon, where Jack and Sophinna had a small civil ceremony in one of the pannel rooms in Bibury Court Hotel. This is when the 'legal bits' were completed, but the wedding day on the Saturday was definitely the 'main event'! Sophinna wore a custom made dress by Emma Victoria Payne, redesigned from a family members sari. After the ceremony, which was absolutely lovely, everyone headed into the gardens for drinks and barbecue food.

Saturday was the day that everyone had been looking forward to, including myself! I arrived at Bibury Court in the morning, to find a very calm and relaxed Sophinna, surrounded by her closest friends and her Mum, preparing for everything that the day had to bring. Once Sophinna had finished having her make up done by Beauty Beyond and hair by Tabitha James Kraan (Organic Hairdressing), it was time to get the wedding dress on . . . I of course see a lot of wedding dresses in my job, but to see one that had been entirely custom made for the bride was something very special; Sophinna's gown was made of Parisian lace, again by Emma Victoria Payne. The flowers were by Charlotte Gabb of Superflowers, who created the most beautiful bouquets for the whole wedding party, along with floral displays for the church and reception room.

Jack, the Groom, had been waiting patiently for this bride, dressed in a gorgeous Neal & Palmer suit, with all of his Groomsmen in matching suits. Once Sophinna and her bridal party were ready, it was time for the ceremony; a beautiful service in Bibury Church. Afterwards, a drinks reception greeted the newlyweds, serenaded by the wonderful Hard Candi Band, who provided an acoustic set out in the sunshine.

After I stole Sophinna and Jack away for some portraits in and around the gardens, all of the guests headed to the front of the venue for the group shots. The wedding breakfast followed in the marquee, which was without a doubt one of the most beautifully decorated marquees I have ever seen (provided by Mudway Marquees). Following the delicious wedding breakfast it was time for speeches - an excellent effort from everyone who spoke!

Finally it was time for the first dance, and onto dancing, with a fabulous live set from Hard Candi again. A few songs in and it was time for me to leave the wedding party dancing into the night!

Here are a selection of photographs from Jack and Sophinna's big day, that I'm delighted to share with you. Huge congratulations to the newlyweds!
